Let me ask you a question.
Why did you start an online business, or why do you want to start an onlinebusiness
Without knowing you personally, I suspect your answer is, to make someextra money
For many, it is to make enough money to replace their current job and workfull time from home.
For a few, it is to get filthy stinking rich!
So, when you started out, did you make a cash flow forecastHmmm....probably not
If not, what would you say if someone was to offer you a better jobChances are, you would ask HOW MUCH DOES IT PAY
Did you do that when you decided to join some of the programs you are innow
The simple truth is, most will never make a dime online. There are manyreasons for this of course, but, ultimately, it boils down to one majorfactor.
Nearly 95% of the people working an online business are PART TIME! Thesepart time people move from one program to another. You probably either knowthat from experience, or, you do it yourself.
So why do these part timers go from one program to the next in the hope thenext one will be The One
The real answer is simple. These part time people are not making a profit, because if they were, do you honestly think they would leave and move ontosomething else and leave behind that extra income
If you were making say, $500 a month from a program, would you leave tostart again somewhere else
Another major factor is that most programs do not realistically offer agood chance for these part time people to make a $500 a month profit. Manyrequire you to have up to 100 people or more in your downline. Again, thisfor most will never happen. So, they move onto the next program, neverreally understanding why.
But what if there was a program that rewarded these part time people Whatif it only needed 20 people in your team to make a $500 a month profit
Imagine if your downline was full of part time people making such a profiteach month do you think they would then leave
Referring back to the statement above, if someone came to you and offeredyou a new job, your first question would be, how much does it pay Yoursecond question would be, what is it you want me to do
So let us look at your current program. If you want to make an extra $500PROFIT each month, do you know what you have to do in order to earn thatDo you know how many people you must recruit, and how many your people mustfind
If you know the answer to this then fine, if not, look at your pay plan andsit down and work it out.
If your program costs more than $250 to join and the monthly costs are morethan $250, then your chances of recruiting others online will diminish.
If your program costs $20 to join and $20 a month, then your chances ofmaking $500 will require a downline of around 250 to 500 people, or more. Are you capable of achieving that working part time
What if your monthly costs were around $150, which is not that much reallyWhat if you only needed FOUR people What if they only needed FOUR peoplealso Realistically, do you think that is a possibility
Even part time people should be able to find FOUR, if not, then they shouldseriously think about what is they are trying to do online, apart fromlosing money.
Even if it took you three to six months to get 20 people in your team, youwould then be making a $500 a month PROFIT. Can you see yourself makingthat much with your current program when all you have done is find FOURpeople
Take my advice. Stop falling for all the hyped up JUNK out there. Eitheryou are in business to make money or not. If you treat your business as ahobby, then it will only pay you a hobbies income, more than likely loseyou money.
Did you start your online business to make money If so, then do your sums.Find out what you have to do in order to make the sort of monthly incomeyou desire.
If any program requires you to recruit more than FOUR people in order toearn a good part time income, then do not join it. Find one that does, because it is the part time people in your business that will make or breakyou.
Regardless of how successful you become personally, your income will alwaysbe determined by the part time people in your downline. If they know whatthey have to do in order to make a profit, then they will stay. If theyhave to find more than FOUR, they will leave after one, two or three monthsmaximum.
Remember this:
You would not start a new job if you did not know how much you would beearning or what you had to do. So why on earth should you start an onlinebusiness without knowing what you had to do in order to make a decentprofit.
Gary J Kidd has been online for over six years. He works full time from home on his business. He has downlines in some programs of over 15,000 people. He has introduced two major systems to help his part time people make a profit from home and stay in business. He shows people exactly how to make a $500 a month profit with only 20 people in their downline, using a simple system.
Web Marketing Series
The art of getting skeptical prospects to believe the claims you make in your web site promotions, to agree with what youre saying, is one of the most difficult challenges facing advertisers and copywriters. And bottomline if the prospect doesnt believe you, hes not going to buy from you.
One of the most effective writing methods for getting prospects to believe your claims and turning them into customers is a technique known as Pacing and Leading. Let me define these terms.
Pacing statements are statements of fact. They are easily proven as true or are commonly accepted as true. Some examples;
No effective solution is possible unless one understands the problem
Doctor visits are increasing across Americawith more heart disease and obesity than ever before
Seethe prospect is consciously aware of the veracity of these statements.
Leading statements are the statements, the claims, you want your prospect to believe, but have not been proven true, or are not commonly accepted as true. Some examples:
The use of commonly available vitamins and minerals is insufficient for improving our health.
We would all be healthier and less disease-prone if our doctors and nutritionists understood the root problem.
Our product will revive your energy and protect you against age-related disease.
Notice the difference The truth of our pacing statements are obvious. The leading statements are the selling statements we want our prospect to believe, to buy into.
Sohow do we turn these statements into powerful and compelling copy Its all in the rhythm. Example:
Pace- Most middle-aged men would love to feel like 20 again, to have more energyto be free of worry from those age-related diseases, such as heart disease, cancer, alzheimers.
Pace- However, we have all either read about, seen or experienced the fatigue and disease which strikes a large proportion of men as they age.
Lead- Product Xs unique blend of vitamins, herbs and minerals, used for centuries in Eastern medicine, specifically address male related aging maladies.
Now eliminate the two pacing statements and allow your lead sentence to stand alone as a selling statement. Not very credible, is it
However, when these statements are strung together, notice the powerful effect as the lead grows naturally out of the pacing statements. For your prospect, its another yes.
And as any experienced marketer knows, each prospects unconscious yes is a suble, yet powerful, means for comfortably moving that person to your desired end.
A good rhythm to use in your copy is to write two or three pacing statements, or questions, where yes is the only answer. Follow with your lead statement. The writing style should be conversational, with a logical flow between pacing and leading statements. Throughout your copy, gradually reduce the number of pacing statements between leads. For example; three pacing statements followed by a leadtwo pacing statements followed by two lead statementsthen one pacing statement and three leads.
Try it. List the truths, the pacing statements that apply to your product or service. Now list your leads, those statements which you want your prospect to believe. Experiment with the pace and lead rhythm mentioned above. As subsequent paces follow naturally from the previous lead, you will experience the power of this technique.
