How TO GET banned by Google!
Now this course is here to make sure that you dont screw up and get your website banned by google. If you search in google one day for your website and dont find it then youre probably banned. Another way to see this is by downloading the google toolbar, if you visit your website and instead of showing you a PR it shows a completely grey bar then youre banned for sure. Now the best CURE for disease is prevention so Ill show you how to get banned and you will consecutively stay away from these methods and everyone lives happily ever after.
1) Hidden Text: If you have text on your websites that is the same colour as the background and cant be seen then you WILL get banned.
2) Alt image tag spamming: If you use too many of the same word in the alt tag of an image then you WILL be banned. An example is this:Someone puts their mouse over an image on your site and they see graphic design,graphic design,design,graphic,graphic design tips,graphic design tutorials,graphic design downloads,graphic design forum,graphic design links,graphic design pictures
3) Meta Tag Stuffing: DO NOT repeat the same keyword too many times in your met tags, if you do so you WILL get banned. An example of this a website that want to rank well for design so they use this: < META NAME=KEYWORDS CONTENT=design,designs,designed,design,DESIGN,design,graphic design,design tips,design downloads,design design,design forever,design bs,DESIGN, >
4) Title Tag Stuffing: Using too many words in your title tag is wrong and wont help you rank well; it will only get you banned. Many sites use this and are therefore not in google anymore. Just use a few words and you are fine. Stuffing 20 words in the title is a VERY bad idea.
So basically dont STUFF your website and youre fine!

Most Web Hosts will provide you with a Cpanel, where you can create E-mail Accounts, Upload Web Pages and check your stats. Most of the Cpanels are very similar if not identical to the one my Hosts uses.
When it is time to check my web page traffic statistics I click on Log and then Web/FTP Stats and finally AWStats. I am now presented with a List of all kinds of Stats to look at. Daily History, Monthly History, Country, Browser, Day of Week, Hour or Day. Trying to understand them all will make you dizzy. Since my traffic comes from 3 primary places Search Engines, One Way back links and Reciprocal links I concentrate on the following 5 Stats
1 - Referers Origin
This Stat will give you a breakdown of what percent of your traffic came from the following categories
This stat is a snap shop of your overall traffic. Some questions to ask yourself
2 - Referring search engines
This Stat will list all the major search engines and tell you what percent of your search engine traffic came from each Search engine. It is best to concentrate on the Big 3 (Yahoo, MSN and Google). Google is the Most Popular Search engine with Yahoo a close 2nd and MSn 3rd.
Is the Search engine Traffic to your web page divided the same way Does any search engine over perfrom or under perform its internet average
3 - Referring sites
This will tell you which web pages are your best link partners. If you do article submissions or other forms of linking this will tell you how well this worked. I was shocked to see that 10% of all my non Search engine traffic came from 1 web page where I gave a testimonial.
4 - Search Keyphrases
Here you can see your Top 10 Keyword Phrases as well as a full list of your keyword phrases. Look over the top 10 Are those the ones you expected Are you surprised by the results Where can you do better
Next look over the full list Do you have under achievers or over archives
5 - Search Keywords
Unless you happen to be optimizing for a keyword like Babies, Pillows or Graduates you wouldnt need to worry about this Stat. Most of the Keywords reported dont give much useful information. If you are optimizing for a Keyword like babies then find babies in the list and see how well you are doing.
